Tesla Sense is a built-in artificial intelligence that enables the self-driving system for Tesla. The system is powered by machine learning that allows the automobile to think, see, listen, learn, and navigate limitless driving scenarios. Sense introduces a new way of interacting and experiencing your vehicle beyond the transportation.
Key Feature Scenario
1. Morning-Alarm Notifications
Based on the user’s schedule and the traffic data that sense collected, it automatically calculates the estimated arrival time to the first destination of the day. The notification will remind the user when the user needs to leave the house to arrive at the destination on time.
2. Activation Mode (Voice Recognition)
Once the user gets in the car, the user’s voice will activate Sense by simply saying ‘Hi Tesla’. During the activation mode, it will show all the information that the driver needs to know before switching it to the autonomous mode. From the status of the car to weather information of the destination, Sense prepares the user for the journey.
3. Autonomous Driving Mode (Multiple Tasks)
During the autonomous driving mode, the user can do multiple tasks while the car is focused on driving. For example, while you’re calling your wife on the way to your meeting, she reminds you to buy a cake for your daughter. Sense can pick up on the need of the users by recognizing your voice and help to order the cake from the nearest bakery from your meeting place.
4. Ordering and Pick-up Notifications
When the car is not being used by a user, it can perform other tasks that the user commanded beforehand. When the user confirms the task, it will automatically send out the order and pick up autonomously.
